HIS VISION, School of Bhagavad Gita, presents ATMOPADESHA SHATAKAM - Discourse Series by Swami Sandeepananda Giri in ASIANET NEWS. The programme will be from 6.30 to 7 A.M (IST) Sunday to Thursday and starts on August 30, 2009.

ATMOPADESHA SHATAKAM comprising of 100 verses is a well known work of the universal teacher, Sree Narayana Guru. Hailed as equivalent to the Bhagavad Gita in Malayalam, it covers almost every subject and values that have universal relevance.

The highlight of the programme is that it brings together 10 renowned poets of Kerala who recite 10 verses each of this work by Sree Narayana Guru, one of the greatest and most popular spiritual leaders of all times and one who celebrated unity. The poets reciting the verses include names such as Akhitham, Kavalam Narayana Panikkar, Prof. VishnuNarayanan Namboothiri ,Smt. Sugathakumari, Prof. Madhusudhanan Nair and D. Vinayachandran among others. The explanation of the verses is in the form of discourses by Swami Sandeepananda Giri in his inimitable style, with references, examples and humorous anecdotes from everyday life. The verses will also be chanted by singers.
