The formal inauguration of the UK Center of the School of Bhagavad Gita took place on 26 April 2008 at the Nehru Center,High Commission of India, London. Ms. Monika Kapil Mohta, Minister for Culture, High Commission and Director, Nehru Center was the Chief Guest.
In her inaugural address, Ms. Mohta spoke on the relevance of the Bhagavad Gita in these times and lauded the initiatives of SOBG. Renowned UK based author, Ms. Jayasree Misra offered her felicitations on the event. The function was followed by a lecture by Swami Sandeepananda Giri on “Bhagavad Gita and the Art of Man Making”. In connection with the inauguration, satsangs were organized in Cardiff, Wales and at Camberley, Surrey on the 25 April and 27 April respectively. |
