The School of Bhagavad Gita opened its new center at Guruvayur, located at 12/293, Achyutam Apartments at Vadakke Nada on 20th September. The inaugural ceremony was presided by Sri. M. Krishna Das and was held at Krishna Inn before a packed audience. Adv. C. K. Menon, Director, Norka ROOTS inaugurated the center. In his speech, Swami Sandeepananda Giri informed that the SOBG would abide by its objective of spreading the universal values of the Gita and use the latest in communication technology to take it to the masses the world over.

Sri. Chovalloor Krishnan Kutty and Sri Shoolapani Warrier too addressed the audience. Other speakers on the occasion included Sri Rajasekharan Nayar, Sri P. V. Unnikrishnan and Sri SreeKumar. The DVD of the Sampoorna Gita Jnana Yajnam (Complete set of Chapters 1 to 18) was released by Adv. C. K. Menon by handing over a copy to Smt. Vathsala Shivakumar.
