Swami Sandeepananda Giri’s Sampoorna Gita Jnana Yajnam that created history as the most watched programme on DD4, is now ready for re-telecast on 10th July 2007, in a new version that has incorporated many new features. The original series that began on April 14 2006, ran continuously for 15 months, coming to a close on 9th July 2007. The new series that begin the very next day, also occupies the same slot - 9.30 P.M, Mondays through Saturdays.

The programme in its new avatar has been conceptualized by Swami Sandeepananda Giri and show- cases a unique blend of oratory, philosophy, art and music. Ace film-maker Shaji. N. Karun has lent his guidance to the project. Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri, noted lyricist and musician, has undertaken the music direction and the line up of well-known singers include Manjari, Bhavana Radhakrishnan, Deepankuran, Ajayan Namboothiri and Kaithapram himself. The ideas expressed by Swami Sandeepananda Giri in his discourse has been given graphic representation through sketches and paintings by artists C.N. Karunakaran, Prof. Ajaya Kumar and Balamurali.

The re-telecast of the programme has been in response to the repeated requests received by Doordarshan and the School of Bhagavad Gita from viewers all over the country and abroad. This new edition, which is a rare coming together of formidable talent, is bound to be a treat for the viewers - much more than they asked for.
