Swami Sandeepananda Giri has been invited to address the Parliament of the World’s Religions. The World Parliament will be held in Melbourne from the 3rd to the 9th of December 2009. The Theme of the Parliament is “ Making a World of Difference - Hearing each other, healing the Earth”.
The invitation to Swamiji comes in recognition of his work that reaches out to the common man with the message of true spirituality and his efforts for the environment underlining that "Worship of Nature is Worship of the Divine".
This recognition from the World Parliament states:
"We hold in high esteem your many years of spiritual guidance and service to humanity and will be most honored by your presence at this historic interfaith gathering, to offer your wisdom and your vision for the future. We are deeply grateful for your commitment to interreligious understanding and your work for peace and the upliftment of society".
Swamiji will address the audience on 8th December 2009 on the topic “Synergy of Differences - Symphony for Earth”. On the 9th of December, he will conduct an Observance entitled “Viswamitra - In Union with the Universe”.
