Swami Sandeep Chaitanya has been ordained Sannyasam, following which the name of Swami Sandeepananda Giri has been given to Swamiji.
The ceremonies of the sannyasa deeksha took place in Haridwar from the 11th to the 13th of March 2010, in connection with Kumbh Mela. Swamiji received this solemn order from the most blessed H. H. Dwadasha Darshanaacharya Mahamandaleswar Kashikananda Giri Maharaj.
