George Everest :* George Everest Peak is located 5kms from Mussoorie. An easy trek to the peak takes you through the forest sections filled with Deodar, Fir and Rhododendron trees. It offers spectacular views of the snow-clad Himalayan peaks and panoramic views of the Doon Valley. Here, we find the ruins of the building and laboratory of Sir George Everest, the Surveyor-General of India from 1830 to 1843, after whom Mt. Everest is named.
*Mussoorie* : At an elevation of about 6500 ft, is known as the Queen of Hill stations and lies at the foothills of Garhwal Himalayas. Kempty Falls, Gun Hill, Company Garden and Mall Road are the main sights. Etc.
Dehradun: Is the state capital of Uttarakhand. Some of the visit worthy places are Tapkeshwar Mahadev Mandir, Forest Research Institute and Sahastradhara.
*Kanatal* : Located at a height of 8500 ft, Kanatal is a small, picturesque hill station amidst apple orchards, forests and small temples. Surkanda Devi Temple is famous as one of the Shakti Peeths. The peaceful trail up to the temple offers splendid views of the Himalayas.
Dhanaulti* : Dhanaulti is yet another spot in the hilly locale. The Eco Park set amidst Deodar trees is a protected park developed with the help of the local youth.
*Haridwar - Rishikesh :* The gateway to the Himalayas, this sacred place is blessed with numerous holy Ashrams and other places of spiritual significance. The Chandi Devi and Manasa Devi temples, Ram and Laxman Jhoola, Ganga Arati and a dip in the holy Ganga are experiences to cherish.
