Itinerary & Costs For HIMALAYA YATRA 2021

HIMALAYA YATRA 2021 - 19 to 28 November 2021 Organised by School of Bhagavad Gita, Salagramam Ashram Main Places Covered: Haridwar, Corbett National Park, Nainital, Almora, Jageshwar Dham, Kausani, Bajnath Dham & Rishikesh Itinerary will be ex Dehradun/ Haridwar Day1: Pick up Dehradun airport and drop to Haridwar. Yatris may also join the group on their own at Haridwar. Overnight in an ashram guest house. Day2:. Haridwar sightseeing...Overnight stay in Haridwar. At Haridwar,we will visit Mansa Devi temple, Daksha Mahadev temple( site of Daksha yagam),Sati kund, Anandvan and other ashrams, Har ki Paudi and Ganga Aarti. Day 3: Haridwar to Corbett National Park.Ram Nagar. Sightseeing,visit local sites,river,etc.Overnight in Corbett. Day 4: Morning - jungle Safari at Corbett, the first wildlife reserve in India.Spread over 500 sq.kms of core area, it is home to Project Tiger and has a huge variety of flora and fauna.After the safari and enjoying the natural beauty,we will drive to Kausani. Overnight in Kausani. Kausani is a hill station and Village situated in Bageshwar district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is famous for its scenic splendour and its spectacular 300 km- wide panoramic view of Himalayan peaks like Trisul, Nanda Devi and Panchchuli. At Kausani, we will view sunrise and sunset over these Himalayan peaks. We will visit other local sites,famous shawl factory Sumitranandan Pant Gallery,etc. At the Gandhi Ashram( Anasakti Ashram), where Gandhiji wrote his treatise on Bhagavad Gita, Swamiji will give a discourse based on Gandhiji and the Gita. Day 5: Morning after breakfast,drive to Almora. Overnight at Almora. Almora is a beautiful hill town set against the backdrop of the spectacular Himalayas and is surrounded by oak and pine trees. It has historic importance and is associated with many famous personalities,including Swami Vivekananda. We will visit the Kasar Devi temple,where Sw.Vivekananda meditated,other local spots, the bazar, shop for the famous ‘ bal mithai’,etc. Swamiji will give short talks with insights into the life and mission of Swami Vivekananda at the specific spots. Day 6: Almora to Jageshwar Dham Temple, overnight stay at hotel in Almora. Jageshwar Temples, also referred to as Jageshwar Valley Temples, are a group of 124 ancient Hindu temples dated between 7th and 14th century near Almora. The Shiva temple is believed to have a jyotirling and has been blessed by Adi Shankaracharya.The valley has a number of temple clusters such as the Dandeshwar and Jageshwar sites. Day 7: Almora to Nainital . Spend half a day at Nainital for local sightseeing. By evening drive to Corbett Ram Nagar. Overnight at Corbett. Day 8: Corbett Ram Nagar to Rishikesh. Overnight stay at Camp in Rishikesh. After a drive through the picturesque route,relax the rest of the evening, by the bonfire at the camp. Day 9: Visit Rishikesh .Overnight stay in Rishikesh camp Morning after breakfast , go for rafting on River Ganga,(optional) a unique experience. Then visit Rishikesh for sightseeing -Lakshman Jhula, Ram Jhula, Parmarth Niketan Ashram, Sivanand ashram,Triveni Ghat, Beatles Ashram, Gita Bhavan, Janki Setu,etc. and Ganga Aarti. Day 10: Drop to airport at Dehradun. COST: Rs.35,000/-per person. ( 50% for children below 12 years,accompanying parents) Cost INCLUDES: Transport on the days of the tour, breakfast and dinner,accommodation in good hotels/resorts on twin/triple sharing, airport pick up and drop ,as a group. PLEASE NOTE: Yatris must carry certificate of having taken both COVID vaccines OR must carry NEGATIVE result of RTPCR test done 72 hours ( 3 days) before travel.
