Itinerary And Costs For VASANTHOTSAV In VRAJ

Itinerary 

Day 1- Arrival at Mathura from Delhi by road (25th Feb)

  • Arrive in Mathura by morning and check-in to the hotel 
  • Start the day with a visit to Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple followed by the Dwarkadhish Temple.
  • Visit Vishram Ghat believed to be where Lord Krishna rested after defeating Kamsa. Attend Yamuna Aarti and soak in the spiritual vibes.
  • Explore the local markets and don’t miss the famous Mathura Peda from Brijwasi Sweets.

Day 2: Lathmaar Holi in Barsana (26th Feb)

  • After breakfast, head to Barsana , Radha’s village, for the famous Lathmaar Holi celebration -A unique celebration where men sing songs and women playfully hit them with sticks.
  • Enroute, visit some temples and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Barsana.
  • Return to Mathura by evening and rest.

Day 3: Exploring Gokulam & Govardhan (27th Feb)

  • Visit Gokulam, where Lord Krishna spent his childhood, and explore Nanda Bhawan.
  • Visit Raman Reti, a sacred place where Krishna played with his brother Balarama and Gopis.
  • Proceed to Govardhan Hill for the Govardhan Parikrama, a 21 km journey around the sacred hill associated with Lord Krishna. We will complete the parikrama by electric auto ride..
  • Visit important places like Radha Kund, Shyam Kund, and Kusum Sarovar enroute the Govardhan parikrama.
  • Return to Mathura in the evening and relax for the night.

Day 4: Vrindavan Holi Celebration (28th Feb)

  • Start the day early with a visit to the iconic Bankey Bihari Temple in Vrindavan and join the enchanting Phoolon ki Holi, where devotees play Holi with flower petals, symbolising love and the arrival of Spring.
  • Explore nearby spots like Nidhivan, where the divine Ras Leela is believed to be performed, Prem Mandir, and ISKCON.
  • After a full day, head back to the hotel.

Day 5: Return to Delhi (1 March)

  • Make an early start to return to Delhi filled with experiences of a divine journey.

NB : Yatris may make travel arrangements to and fro ,on their own by Train or flight. Assistance to book air tickets will be given if needed.
