Spiritual Awareness, Mindfulness and Physical Fitness. Yoga is the coming together of all this. Yoga is also the path and the means to this harmonious end. This ancient practice bearing the wisdom of the ages is still very relevant and needed in today’s world.

School of Bhagavad Gita upholds the study and practice of the streams of Knowledge that bring out the highest values embedded in our heritage. The Yoga Campus in Salagramam is a firm step in this direction.

School of Bhagavad Gita is certified by Yoga Alliance, USA and is a Registered Yoga School. It is also an Affiliated Center of VYASA- Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana- internationally recognised for Yoga education, research and therapy.

Swami Sandeepananda Giri is the Director of the organization. The Yoga courses are handled by a team of highly qualified and experienced professionals, who will support the students in widening their understanding of yoga and strengthening their practice.

Courses will be taught online and on campus, located at Salagramam Ashram in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of the beautiful state of Kerala, in India.( click here for a guided tour of Salagramam). Situated in peaceful, green environs, beside a gently flowing river, the ashram is the ideal place to learn, practice, meditate and relax.

School of Bhagavad Gita is an Affiliated Center of VYASA- Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana, internationally recognised for Yoga education, research and therapy. VYASA’s vision has always been to make yoga a socially relevant science by merging the best of the East (ancient wisdom) with the best of the West (scientific research). Founded by Padmasri Dr. H.R. Nagendra ,a scientist from NASA and a medical practitioner, Dr. Nagaratna R., VYASA is recognized as a scientific and industrial research organization by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India. To date, VYASA has developed several Yoga courses, more than 18 disease-specific yoga therapy modules, published books, DVDs and a large volume of scientific literature on yoga and conducted over 20 international conferences. VYASA’s activities currently spread across 24 countries.



School of Bhagavad Gita is a Registered Yoga School (RYS) with Yoga Alliance, which designates this Teacher Training Program as one which follows Yoga Alliance’s standards. Students who complete a verified training with this school will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance, USA, as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYTs).



School of Bhagavad Gita conducts/ hosts camps, retreats and courses related to Yoga and cultural heritage. This will be announced from time to time and intended for children, youth, senior citizens and the general public.

Organisations and groups may also request for such programmes, which can be customized for their specific needs.

Camps generally include sessions on topics specified in the particular course, talks by Swamiji, Guided Meditation, Yoga, Interactive sessions, Cultural programme and short trips.
